History
Maury County Title Co., Inc. was formed in 1986 by a group of local attorneys who wanted a to serve the people of Southern Middle Tennessee in buying and selling real estate. With over thirty years of continuous operations, we know Southern Middle Tennessee real estate. From Columbia to Culleoka, Spring Hill to Hampshire, Mt. Pleasant to Santa Fe we know Maury County property.
Today, Maury County Title Co., Inc. is wholly owned by Thomas M. Hutto and Bevin W. Lyle. The law firm of Dale, Hutto & Lyle, PLLC, works with us to provide title opinions and examinations. These attorneys also close your transaction, know what you're signing and why and can explain each document to you at closing. This gives buyers and sellers the peace of mind that once they've signed their transaction is complete.
Thanks to today's technology, we are able to provide quick and efficient service. We offer title examinations, title insurance, closing and escrow services, preparation of legal documents, IRS reporting -- everything required for closing real estate transactions.

Our Team
Thomas Hutto
PRESIDENT & ATTORNEY
Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Thomas M. Hutto received his B.S. in Geology from The University of the South in 1998. Following his graduation, Thomas worked in environmental consulting and was later accepted to and attended the Nashville School of Law, from which he subsequently received his Juris Doctorate Degree in December 2012. He received his license to practice law in the state of Tennessee in June of 2013.
Thomas came to Maury County Title in the summer of 2013. His thorough knowledge of the entire process makes him well versed and knowledgeable in all aspects of title insurance and closing. Thomas believes in client-centered service, and understanding and meeting the unique needs of each individual transaction. As the President of Maury County Title, Thomas is responsible for the daily operations of the company. He believes that having an attorney available at each step in a transaction provides an invaluable service to real estate agents, lenders, buyers, and sellers.
Thomas enjoys being active in the community of Maury County. A Leadership Maury Class of 2015, Thomas has also served as the Secretary for Columbia Breakfast Rotary, and as a Board Member for the Maury County Arts Guild, The Mediation Center, Maury County Boys and Girls Club, and the Maury County Historical Society.
In his free time, Thomas enjoys reading, aspiring to play tennis, and spending time with his family. Thomas, his wife, Amy, and their sons, Carson and Elliott, reside in Columbia, TN.
Bevin Lyle
VICE PRESIDENT & ATTORNEY
A Columbia native, and 2007 graduate of Columbia Central High School, Bevin Lyle received her bachelor’s degree in Classical Languages from The University of the South in 2011, where she also minored in Political Science and was president of Kappa Delta Sorority. Following her graduation, Bevin attended law school at the University of Alabama, where she was president of the Dorbin Association for Women in the Law. After graduating from law school in December 2013, she clerked with the District Attorney General for the 22nd Judicial District of Tennessee. She then went on to work in the field of nonprofits before joining Maury County Title.
Bevin came to Maury County Title at the beginning of 2017. Her attention to detail and strong analytical skills, coupled with her strong background in customer service, helps her to bring personalized service to the southern Middle Tennessee community.
As a proud native of Maury county, Bevin strives to give back to her community whenever she can. She participated in Leadership Maury’s Class of 2016, is a Leader with Columbia Young Life, and a member of Columbia Kiwanis. She also serves as a Board Member for the United Way of Maury County and is an active member of The Bridge Church.
Bevin resides in Columbia with her husband, David, and their son, Henry. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, reading a good book, growing flowers, and running.
Frank Dale
ATTORNEY
Frank K. Dale was born and raised in Columbia, TN, and has been with Maury County Title since its founding in 1987. After graduating from Davidson College in 1977 and receiving his law degree from Vanderbilt University in 1980, Mr. Dale began practicing with Shelton, Lawwell & DuBois in Columbia, TN. Frank’s extensive experience is invaluable when it comes to solving complex title issues, and he is relied upon by fellow practitioners across the state to assist with the intricacies in complex real estate transactions.
Frank and his wife, Gloria, have called Columbia home for many years and raised their three children, John, Jordan, and Mary Frances, here.
Brittany Brewer
SENIOR CLOSING SPECIALIST
Brittany Brewer began her career in the real estate in 2003 in Memphis, TN, and in the title industry in 2005 as a receptionist. Her duties then expanded to include all aspects of closing from initial set up all the way through issuing policies. Originally from Mississippi, Brittany grew up just outside of Memphis. The daughter of a realtor, she has been involved in real estate in some capacity her whole life. Brittany came to Maury County Title in 2012 as a Closing Processor, and throughout her time here, she has used her bright personality to help our lenders, clients, and realtors handle their transactions from contract to close.
Brittany lives in Summertown, TN with her husband, Jeremy, and daughter, Haley. She loves to cheer for Ole Miss and spend time at the beach or poolside with her family.
